Hello
I hope you all had a good couple of weeks. This past week we painted the outside of our house. We preapred it the first couple of days and than on Friday we started to paint. On Friday it decided it was going to start to get cold and windy. So we all had like 5 layers on to keep warm.  We also went and performed the Christmas dance at Harbour City Mall in Kawloon. It was awesome getting to perform again. After we performed we got to go and talk to people in the audience. Vanessa and I talked to this girl who was a Christian, we got to encourage her. It was awesome. I am not in this video, but this is the dance we performed.
I had so much fun scrapping :D

I wonder what we were talking about

On Saturday we went to an elementary school and helped out with their English Carnival. I was at the Snowman booth. They drew the word Happy, Sad, or Angry out of a hat and they had to throw a ball through the right snowman. I chased a lot of ball, especially with the littler kids, but it was fun
We had to wear the hats

Some of us are sick, so if you could pray for us, that would be lovely. That's what I have been up to. I hope you guys are doing good. I will try to update soon.

ESL

Hello everybody

I can't believe we are going into our last week of the ESL. I can see a growth in the student's English. The last few weeks have flown by.The last couple of weeks they have learned the forms of past tense, the forms of future tense, directions, manners, animals, bible characters and so much more. I taught for 3 days this past week. I taught about different countries and their flags, bible character, and animals ( mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish). We took the students to the zoo. We had a graduation for the PADTS ( Performing Arts Discipleship Training School), and the ESL. Each of the ESL students gave a testimony of their experience in the school. It was amazing to hear them speak English in front of other people. Their testimonies really encouraged me. We had a thanksgiving dinner/graduation. We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and whipped cream ( which I made). It was all very delicious.

I have been challenged so much. It has been so good though.  I have never staffed a school, so it has been a growing experience.  I have had a to lead.  I have gained confidence. I have grown in my patience. I have been challenged in many other ways as well. I know God wants me here and I'm so thankful for that.

All the ESL staff and students ( Young Jae, Jen, Me, Faby, Diony, and Ji Hye)

We played a game where we had to say the sentence in the past tense, negative and a question
Ji Hye stole it from Young Jae, and he was shocked.

Weeks 1 through 3

Hello, week 2 was super busy with the ESL course. Week 2, one of our staff taught. She taught them possessive, nouns, pronouns. Jen and I taught the students words used in the kitchen. On Thursday they baked cookies from a recipe, and made invitations for the staff to come to a cookie party on Friday. On Friday we had a cookie party. It was fun, and yummy. Yesterday some of us helped out at a church who just moved into their new building. We cleaned, put chairs together. On Sunday we went to church and Pastor Trevor taught about how we are blessed. It was a good message.

week 3- Frank taught about weather, and  how to ask permission.  We have a Korean team here, so they have got to sit in on class. This week Jen and I taught them about body parts. It was fun, we played Hokey Pokey, Head,Shoulders, Knees and Toes and they drew a person 1 body part at a time.

Sorry it took so long for me to get another blog out. It seems every week I am challenged more and more, but it is good. I know I will grow a lot here. I still love it. I hope you all have a great week.

2nd week in Hong Kong

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I love Hong Kong. The Lord has really challenged me this week.  Jen and I are staffing the English as a Second Language course, so we have been busy getting ready for that. We have two student here already and the other two arrive tomorrow.  Jen and I are teaching on shopping and market vocabulary, so we have been preparing for that. I am learning that God doesn't give you anything you can't handle and I need to actually believe that. I am also learning to keep going even when I want to quit. There was a couple of time this week where I wanted to quit, but the staff encouraged me to keep going, so I did. I am so happy that I did, because now I know I can do it.  If you think about it, pray for us and the students as we start the ESL tomorrow. We went to church today and the people there were really nice. I felt so at home there, and there was this cutest little girl. Well thats my life. I hope you have a great week.

Hong Kong

Hello I'm officially in Hong Kong. I just wanted to thank everyone who help me get here. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your support, so thank you. I love it here. I love being with the staff and leaders again. When I got here Monday night some of the staff came out to greet me, and on the dresser in my room they all had colored me welcome to Hong Kong Pictures. It made me feel so at home.

all the coloring pages :D
I have helped with lunch prep and however else I can. I had my first Bubble Tea, it was delicious. We had worship on Thursday and we sang the song "We Speak to Nations" and now I'm currently obsessed with it, and I have had it in my head for 3 days now.
